Making a difference one pet at a time

in the Shoals by

Catching the Vision, Sharing our Mission, Making a Difference

What does SAA do? We foster, provide medications, vaccines and vetting, spay/neuter, worm, coordinate fundraiser and adoption events and send to rescue homeless dogs/cats from our community and the Colbert County Animal Control. We will expand geographically to other communities as we have the resources.

SAA also rescue, spay/neuter, vaccine, foster and adopt out abandoned animals without our community.

We need beds for our pups and small dogs... cooler weather is right around the corner. We can also use them at adoption events in our puppy pens. Click on this link to donate directly from Kuranda.

Thank you Terri Barwick from Indiana for purchasing a Kuranda bed on 12/12/13. Our foster pups and small dogs will enjoy it. It will also be used at our adoption events.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE at

Colbert County Animal Shelter

and

Homelessness is not just a human problem. U.S. animal shelters must put to death nearly 4 million dogs and cats every year because of simple math: There are too many animals and not enough worthy adoptive homes. You can help prevent thisβ€”

Never Breed or Buy. Always Adopt. Always Spay and Neuter.

Most of the animals that come into the care of CCAC are lost, homeless, unwanted or sorrowfully relinquished because their owners can no longer care for them due to major life changes.

While loving, caring, feeding, walking, socializing, training, rehabilitating, bonding with the animals, the volunteers rebuild the animals’ trust in humans.

Join us. Submit an application today.

Volunteering as a dog walker is a meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of homeless dogs in your community.
If you are an animal lover interested in brightening the day of a lonely dog that needs a little attention and exercise please submit an application today. The shelter is open Mon - Fri 9am - 12pm & 1:30pm - 5pm.
